A good drive, not a difficult drive till you get an inexperienced driver coming the opposite direction who has no idea to reverse into a pocket for passing.
Nevertheless, a fantastic experience & a superb view.
We love a day out driving the passes around the Lakes. Wrynose has steep and narrow hairpin bends where on occasion you can't see the road due to you facing skyward! Take your time and car with a fully functioning clutch or an automatic. We …
One of the most exciting roads ive driven on and ive done many! Its a beautiful expereience but not for those without much experience as you will meet people coming the other way and with steep inclines and narrow roads this will challenge the best drivers. Awesome if you do it though!
Absolutely a place you must see the scenery will blow your mind from here we carried on to hardknott pass can be very busy in the holidays and weekends please take note of the golden rule give way to vehicles or motorbikes if there coming up an hill and pull in in one of the passing places.
A great road for a motorbike! Definitely challenging, especially in colder temperatures with plenty of steep but very slippery surfaces. If possible ditch your panniers and luggage beforehand, it’ll make it much more enjoyable.
What a road, so good I did it twice! Nice and twisty with some fairly tight bends and passing places. Def needed esp with the amount of useless SUV / 4x4 drivers. Some parts very tight and only wide enough for 1 car. Gradient about 25% if your in the area try out your skills and the capability of Your car. Bit more risky in winter.
Awesome road, a defo must see if you're touring the area. OK in a car, not sure I'd want to try it in anything larger and definitely not our 8m motorhome!
Stunning driving road. Going towards Eskdale tackles the steepest of the gradients upwards and is lots of fun. Terrific views of old man conniston. …
Mountain road perfect for your 4X4, 30 degrees STEEP inclines , tricky corners, single track. just an amazing road to drive up.
Great drive up the pass with some amazing scenery
